Litter Box Training Information for Serengeti Kittens
Litter training a Serengeti kitten is an essential training which needs to be done by the kittens owner. Don’t try to use the old litter boxes which have belonged to other cats, Serengeti kittens like to use a clean and neat litter box. Litter boxes come in different varieties, the most important rule is to make sure the litter box is big enough for the kitten to use and grow into. Litter boxes can be enclosed or opened. It is recommended to use an enclosed litter boxes as it will prevent the distribution used litter from being sprayed all over the floors and walls of the room which the litter box is in. Serengeti kittens don’t like to use the litter boxes in the open, so its preferred to use the closed litter box for Serengeti kittens privacy. These kittens will take time to adapt to the new surrounding so naturally it will take time for them to learn to use their litter boxes properly.
Once they learn to use the litter box you will feel very comfortable with them. After bringing this kitten home and proplerly train them for a week to use the litter box, allow them to explore the rooms of the home in search of their litter boxes. This will help them to find the location of their litter box easily.
Never fail to clean the litter box daily bases. The usage of dirty litter box will cause infection in Serengeti kittens. When the kitten starts using the litter box on its own never fail to praise the kitten. Litter training a Serengeti kitten should be done gently and softly. When these kittens are trained on a daily basis they will start learning the usage of litter boxes quickly and avoid messes.
